Public Relations Society of America’s Gulf Coast Chapter Presents Virtual Lunch n’ Learn Session via ZOOM
NAPLES, Fla. (April 09, 2021) – The Public Relations Society of America’s Gulf Coast Chapter (PRSA) will host a virtual “Lunch ‘N Learn” session Tuesday, April 27, from noon until 1 p.m., via ZOOM.
Growing Climate Solutions: Path to Positive Southwest Florida encourages business, civic, faith and community organizations to get involved and help advance climate awareness and action in our region. Moving forward together, we amplify the impacts of our solutions and their visibility in the community, inspiring others to join in as well.
Public relations professionals will learn from Dr. Ana Puszkin-Chevlin, Regional Director of Growing Climate Solutions, actionable communication strategies to promote how your organization, business or clients can incorporate sustainability efforts into your efforts. Learn how to leverage the regional group to increase awareness of your organization’s commitment to sustainability.
As regional director, Puszkin-Chevlin oversees climate education and outreach efforts to accomplish the partnership’s primary goals: empower community members and leaders to initiate change, ensure a prosperous and healthy community, build climate literacy and protect natural assets.
Puszkin-Chevlin previously was sustainability officer for the City of Delray Beach, where she was responsible for developing and implementing the city’s sustainability policies, programs and project initiatives. These included climate literacy and resiliency, adaptation and education, transition to renewable energy, water and energy conservation, advancement of green building principles, community recycling efforts, green municipal government, sea-turtle and tree canopy protection, and green and equitable economic development.
This free event will also feature Growing Climate Solutions founders: Rob Moher of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, Eileen Connolly-Keesler of the Community Foundation of Collier County, and Sarah Owen of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation.
Tuesday, April 27, noon – 1p.m. Cost: This event is offered free to the community and students. Registration is required. Upon registering you will receive a link to join the Zoom meeting in advance of the event. Click here to register, or visit gulfcoastprsa.org.
