One of the best ways to get involved in the climate movement is to learn more about the opportunities available in your community. We encourage you to attend a Growing Climate Solutions event, or one hosted by our network of community partners, to help Southwest Florida get on a “path to positive” future.

Please contact our Regional Director, Dr. Ana Puszkin-Chevlin, to submit an event for our calendar.

As peak hurricane season gets underway, Florida Climate Voices, Climate Signals, and the Union of Concerned Scientists will co-host a webinar on Thursday, September 3rd to highlight climate change’s role in worsening storms and the particularly severe impact on Florida communities. The webinar will focus on the science that affirmatively links the increased severity of hurricane season to climate change, highlight how hurricane disasters impact Florida communities – including vulnerable communities – and the strategies that reduce Florida communities’ exposure to hurricane impacts. Additionally, speakers will discuss how COVID-19 acts as a compounding risk to health and safety during hurricane season. This webinar is primarily intended for journalists but will be open to other attendees.
