One of the best ways to get involved in the climate movement is to learn more about the opportunities available in your community. We encourage you to attend a Growing Climate Solutions event, or one hosted by our network of community partners, to help Southwest Florida get on a “path to positive” future.

Please contact our Regional Director, Dr. Ana Puszkin-Chevlin, to submit an event for our calendar.

One in ten children in Florida suffers from asthma. A child’s developing lungs are more sensitive to air pollution. They also breathe faster than we do, exposing them to more toxins.

On Thursday, August 6 at 4:00pm ET, the Environmental Defense Fund, Moms Clean Air Force, and Volo Foundation are hosting a live conversation between climate change advocate and mother of six Thais Lopez Vogel, top Florida physician Dr. Shahnaz Fatteh, and Moms National Field Director and former EPA Regional Administrator Heather McTeer Toney to discuss the impacts of climate change on asthma and other health risks children face — especially those living in low-income communities of color.

The event will be broadcast live on Moms Clean Air Force Facebook page.
